INTRODUCTION

El Shona has shared since 1980 in the enrichment of the creative activity , believing in

the plastic arts role in developing and refashioning cultural and artistic life .In its site , west to Agamy , overlooking the Mediterranean sea-shore , the entrance to the North Coast, it affects and is affected by the creative flux . This created a new perspective that imposed specific expectations and evaluations . These expectations required the appearance of its practices and activities during 15 years , charged by variations and unique in the choice of independent themes and unprecedented initiative . Since early beginning, El Shona has adopted the art and craft mixed and promoted their interrelation ( 1980 ).

El Shona then took interest in the strong tie between art and design ( 1983 ) and felt the people's need for fun . It presented the first festival for caricature ( 1984 ) and didn't hesitate to sponsor some of the creative youngsters side by side with the movement's big stars . For them have been built workshops for residence and creativity ( 1985 ) which have realized a special atmosphere and become a place of visit .

It was a must to build some halls for the different exhibitions , variable workshops for the creative people ( 1986 ) in a new way differing from all the spread values in the academic field . The element of surprise and enjoyable excitement are representing the cultural work strategy as a continuous

creative program targeting the meeting for " the ultimate beauty replacement " .

El Shona bears the creative horizon to its full extent . It is interested in the reliability of the practitioners . In its belief in the necessity of friction , it has organized an international private exchange non governmental program , between its workshops and " ateliers " with those of some cultural centers and organizations for countries in Europe , Canada and America .
